Last weekend the  lounge bench was built by the members of “Architectural Innovations in the Childhood Street”  on the Kama River Embankment. Perm will see other art objects created by young designers later this year.

The new art object was created by school students  and  their teachers in the professional workshops called  «The Workpiece».

– The lounge bench is the image of the Kama River, the main river in Perm. The arches built as anti-forms symbolize its smaller tributaries, explains Ekaterina Popova,  the author of the idea.

In “Fire Forgery”  studio  the work is under way for  another new object called “100 reasons to live” which will soon  be also installed on the Embankment.

«Animals to lights»  is an open-air creative studio for the young architects located in the  «GoPark» area.

The visitors to the area had a chance of making their own contribution to creating the new object: some were painting it, others were involved into work around it.

– The idea of joint creative  work is not a new one, but it helps to get the response from the public, the residents, and this inspires us for new ideas and projects, says Valerya Asafova,  the  manager  of “Architectural Innovations in the Childhood Street” project.

“Architectural Innovations in the Childhood Street” project is funded by the Russian President Grants Fund and  Perm City Administration.
